Red Bull Racing has confirmed that Isack Hadjar will miss the Italian Grand Prix as he continues his recovery from a wrist injury. Lawson will replace him at Red Bull, while Tsunoda will appear next to Lindblad at Racing Bulls.

At the end of the summer break, Isack Hadjar injured his wrist and was unable to take part in the Dutch Grand Prix two weeks ago. At the time, Lawson was promoted to race in his place, while Tsunoda took his seat at Racing Bulls. The situation seemed to suggest that Isack would be fit enough to race in Italy, but today, on Wednesday afternoon ahead of the race weekend, Red Bull published a statement confirming that the Frenchman will not take part in the upcoming race, as he does not want to take any unnecessary risks during his recovery. The driver line-up will therefore remain the same as in Zandvoort.
“It’s good to hear Isack is recovering well and is back in the car soon, but it’s great to have another weekend with the team," Lawson said in a statement shared by Red Bull. "Zandvoort gave me a really useful first reference in the car, and having a full sprint weekend behind me means I’m coming into Monza with a much better understanding of the car and what I need from it.
"It’s a completely different track, and there’ll be new challenges, but I’m looking forward to building on the last weekend with the Team and seeing what we can do."
It's worth saying that both drivers, Lawson and Tsunoda, impressed in their replacement roles in Zandvoort. Liam managed to finish seventh, while Tsunoda just missed out on points in 10th place, finishing 11th.
Also, another Red Bull reserve driver, Ayumu Iwasa, will take Verstappen's seat in Free Practice 1 as part of the team's four mandatory rookie sessions this season.
