Ferrari reveals its special livery for the Italian Grand Prix

Ferrari will have a special livery for its home race, commemorating the 30th anniversary of Schumacher's arrival at Ferrari.

The Italian team from Maranello is heading to its home track at Monza, also known as the "Temple of Speed". For Ferrari, it will be a special weekend as they have prepared a one-off livery commemorating the 30th anniversary of Schumacher's arrival at Ferrari.

Schumacher came to Ferrari in 1996. That season, he drove the F310, and the same car was used as inspiration for the livery. The SF-26 lost the white engine cover, however, we can spot more white on the rear and front wings, where the stars that Michael had on his helmet are displayed. Also, the driver's numbers on the car have been turned into a retro font, and right next to the number is Schumacher's typical logo. Another difference can be seen on the wheel covers, as they will feature a bit of gold on the rims.

And it's not only about the colors, as Schumacher's close friend Sebastian Vettel and his former teammate Rubens Barrichello will sit behind the wheel of the F2002-Schumacher's last Ferrari as part of a tribute to the driver on Saturday and Sunday at Monza circuit.

"Michael’s time at Ferrari was about much more than just wins and titles: his relentless pursuit of perfection, attention to detail, discipline and ability to be a true team player helped create a culture that became one of the defining characteristics of the Scuderia," the team stated.

"Thirty years later, that culture remains part of the way Ferrari approaches competition today. Monza is therefore the ideal place to celebrate this legacy, not just by looking back at what was achieved, but by recognising values that remain part of Ferrari today."
