On Wednesday morning, Erik van Haren from De Telegraaf reported that Hadjar will miss the upcoming GP at Zandvoort. The news was later confirmed by Formula 1 and Red Bull Racing.

Current Racing Bulls driver Liam Lawson will replace injured Isack Hadjar at the Dutch Grand Prix. Meanwhile, Yuki Tsunoda will make his first appearance in the cockpit of a Formula 1 car since last year, as he will take Lawson's seat at Racing Bulls.

Lawson has already completed two races for Red Bull Racing last year, after which he was replaced by Yuki Tsunoda. Paradoxically, Lawson made his Formula 1 debut two years ago at Zandvoort after Ricciardo also injured his wrist. So now he has an opportunity to compare himself with Max Verstappen again, but this time he is more mature and experienced than he was at the start of last season.

Racing Bulls statement:

"As a result of the driver change, reserve driver Yuki Tsunoda, will race for Racing Bulls in Zandvoort this weekend, alongside Arvid Lindblad."

"We thank both Liam and Yuki for their adaptability as the teams prepare for the weekend and we wish Isack a speedy recovery."

We also have to mention that Yuki's one-time comeback to Formula 1 comes at a time when he is in talks for an IndyCar seat at Meyer Shank Racing. So, objectively, if he performs well this weekend, it could help him with the talks.
