The Bahraini desert, as tradition dictates, hosted the FIA WEC season finale. Ferrari entered the weekend with a comfortable 39-point lead over Porsche in the Constructors’ Championship — a race that also marked Porsche’s final outing in the LMH category.

While Ferrari had a truly dominant start to the season, winning the first three races — and with the semi-works #83 Ferrari taking victory at Le Mans — the remainder of the year proved more challenging, partly due to the Balance of Performance. Even so, Ferrari’s strong early lead meant that no one could threaten their position at the top.

In Bahrain, it was Toyota who celebrated race victory, but the championship title, as mentioned, went firmly to Ferrari.

As for the Drivers’ Championship, Ferrari also came out on top, with the #51 crew of Antonio Giovinazzi, James Calado, and Alessandro Pier Guidi taking the crown.

James Calado said: “Since we started in Sebring in ’23 to now, you can’t imagine the improvements and the effort that has been put into this whole program to get us to where we are today.

“To become manufacturer’s champions and drivers champions… just shows our strength.

“We never gave up. It was definitely a tricky second half of the season but today we executed perfectly as a team.”

The new 2026 season will begin in Qatar with pre-season testing on March 22, followed by the first race on March 28, also in Qatar.
