Verstappen became a 4-time world champion and joined legends like Prost and Vettel. Mercedes came back to life and George drove for a dominant victory, Lewis finished second in a chase from 10th place.
No one would have guessed the results of the Las Vegas GP, before the weekend Ferrari were considered the favorites, however Mercedes literally came to life, in the first two practice sessions they were the fastest and in third and then in qualifying. Before the race it was not clear whether Mercedes would be as good in race pace, however the opposite was true, George started from Pole position and gave no chance to anyone during the race and won in a start-finish manner, his teammate had it a bit more complicated, Lewis made a mistake in qualifying and had to start only from tenth place, gradually made his way through and in the end climbed to the podium alongside George.
Max Verstappen went into the race thinking he could become world champion for the fourth time, he only had to finish ahead of Lando Norris. Considering that the McLarens were nowhere near as fast as they had been in previous races, Max didn't have it that hard, finishing the race in fifth place ahead of Lando. Tonight, probably no one from Redbull will go home and they will go celebrate with Max in the heart of Las Vegas.
The favored Ferrari only took one podium, however, they will probably have to explain what happened at the post-race briefing, first they didn't prepare the tires for Carlos and finally they had a problem with the driver's direction, which Leclerc reminded about after the race. In the constructors' championship, it still looks interesting, Ferrari only loses to McLaren by 24 points, so we can expect a fight until the checkered flag in Abu Dhabi.
As we have already mentioned, the McLarens were nowhere near as fast and finished sixth and seventh, in any case their improvement is expected in Qatar, but we know very well how it is with those predictions, nothing can be predicted this season.
Haas and Hulkenberg scored points and they are only one point ahead of Alpine in the constructors' championship, Yuki Tsunoda also managed to score points and the top ten is closed by Sergio Perez, who traditionally did not have the speed.
