Haas has newly established cooperation with Toyota, which was already competing in F1.
But what does this partnership mean and what will it involve? Haas has been cooperating with Ferrari since its entry into F1, from which it buys power units, gearboxes and all parts that the regulations allow, Haas also uses the wind tunnel in Maranello, this will not change in principle.
In a statement, Toyota said they will share "know-how" with each other, meaning Toyota will provide Haas with design, engineering and manufacturing services, while Haas will provide "technical expertise and business benefits."
TGR will supply Haas with necessary hardware, background wind tunnel, simulator, as well as engineers and probably drivers (reserve)
Komatsu said: "We have chosen certain projects to start with because it is clear in which areas we have deficiencies and do not have the necessary capabilities - and in which areas TGR has capabilities."
he also added: "Without this partnership, it is very difficult for us to have a simulator program. First, we don't have the hardware. We need to buy it. We need to install it. Then it takes forever to run the simulator to get a good correlation etc.'
“TGR has expertise in simulators – both for itself and for its customers' projects. So they have the hardware and they have the expertise in terms of operations, in terms of sequencing - we get all aspects of the operation of the simulator. So even in this case we will benefit from this partnership.”
