On Wednesday, the qualification took place at the Circuit de la Sarthe, which decides who advances to the Hyperpole. As the only Porsche hypercar bearing the number #6, it made it to the hyperpole. In essence, they can thank Toyota, which was deleted due to the red flag and that meant a shift for Porsche #6.
We didn't end up without a red flag even in the hyperpole, because BMW M team WRT #15 went off the track in its fast lap in the Indianapolis corner and couldn't get out of the gravel zone. At that time, the provisional pole position belonged to Cadillac #5, they could no longer improve their time, because they ran out of fuel and thus fell to second place.
