Lando Norris narrowly beat Max Verstappen by just 0.020s. Behind them both Mercedes
Lando won his second Pole Position in his career at the circuit in Barcelona, the first was in 2021 in Sochi. But it didn't have to be like that, because Max was very close, just 0.020s, so one small mistake was enough and the first position would have belonged to Max. From the second row, the pair of Mercedes is completed by Lewis Hamilton in third position and George Russel in fourth position.
The Ferrari drivers lacked speed today and they will start from the third row in tomorrow's race. Unexpectedly, a pair of Alpine drivers made it to the Q3, who struggled a lot at the beginning of the season, but today they are seventh and ninth at the start. Sergio Pérez in eighth place probably imagined a better qualification when he lost more than half a second to his teammate, and the top ten is rounded out by Oscar PIastri, who made a mistake during his last push lap and went off the track.
At least two pit stops are expected tomorrow, we might even get a little wet, which could make the race more dramatic.
