Cars from all categories hit the track in Friday's qualifying session to set the fastest possible times for the start of tomorrow's first half of the the 12-hour race.

The pure sound of racing cars echoed around the Nürburgring as qualifying for the 12-hour race took place today.
The home team, GetSpeed Team PCX, showed itself in the best possible light as it set the fastest qualifying time of 1:52.729 and secured pole position for tomorrow's race start. Alongside them on the front row will be the Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II of Saintéloc Junior Team. Not far behind, Proton Competition will start from third position, while Up2Race will line up right behind them in fourth.
The third row of the grid will belong to Mercedes machinery, with Ajith RedAnt Racing securing fifth position and GetSpeed Team JR286 taking sixth. Era Motorsport, with its Ferrari 296 GT3 EVO, will start from seventh place. HAAS RT, which switched from Audi machinery to BMW ahead of the weekend, qualified in eighth place.
At the back of the GT3 grid will be the pair of Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II cars entered by Juta Racing and Continental Racing by Simpson Motorsport.
The opening six hours of the 12H Nürburgring will get underway on Saturday at 12:00 local time.
