Lance Stroll is another active Formula One driver set to try GT3 racing. As early as next weekend, he will appear at the French circuit Circuit Paul Ricard for the opening round of the GT World Challenge Europe season.

Stroll was testing the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo just yesterday, and now we know why. Next weekend, he will get behind the wheel of this car for the GTWC Europe season opener, sharing driving duties in a Comtoyou Racing entry with former F1 driver Roberto Merhi and current Formula 2 driver Mari Boya.

Stroll is taking advantage of the April break caused by the cancelled Grands Prix in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. However, this will not be his first experience with sports cars, as he has previously competed in prototypes such as DPi and LMP2 machinery at the 24 Hours of Daytona.

In addition to Stroll, a total of 59 cars will be on track for the event, and as usual, you can watch the entire race weekend live on the GT World YouTube channel.

After Max Verstappen, who already has several GT3 races under his belt and is now preparing for the 24 Hours of Nürburgring, Stroll becomes another active F1 driver stepping into the world of GT racing.
