We started the season where we left off last year.
Max Verstappen won with a lead of twenty seconds, but before the race we thought that Ferrari could attack Redbull, so it didn't happen, Ferrari rather fought with itself, because it was quite heated between Leclerc and Sainz. Leclerc even struggled with technical problems that caused him to keep locking his tires. So Sainz ended up taking third place. Pérez started from the fifth position, so he can be satisfied with the second place and thus helped Redbull to get the double.
On the other hand, Mercedes will be very disappointed, Lewis P7 and Russell P5, they certainly did not imagine that before the race. when Russell started from third place and Lewis, who sacrificed qualifying to set up the car better for the race, which obviously didn't help him. George also had problems with his overheating car.as for McLaren, they didn't have the speed to reach the podium, but they still take 12 points from Bahrain.
Nico lost his ambitions to fight for points at the start after he crashed into Stroll and thus damaged his front wing, thus Haas unfortunately without a point. Aston Martin scored 3 points after Alonso finished ninth and Stroll tenth, if we compare it with last season when Alonso finished third, they certainly cannot be satisfied. At one point it looked promising even for Stake that they could have at least one point, but Zhou was beaten by Stroll and Bottas repeated his pit stop from Monaco in 2021.
Williams again had problems with his newly designed steering wheel, Sargeant even went off the track because of it. VCARB started the season as a dark horse who could fight for points, but the opposite is true, towards the end of the race it was quite heated between the teammates when Yuki did not want to let the faster Ricciardo in front of him. Alpine, as already indicated in qualifying, was not doing well at all and we will see where this team goes.
